Kakapos play

Last Friday the kakapos performed a play about robot wars.  I was Mum, Ashlee was Tina, Levi was Carl and Joseph was Robbie, Baki was QT174 and those were the characters in the book. I loved that book it was awesome and fun. I was excited to share the book to Room 8.

My grass head

This is a photo of my grass head and I didn't get to give it a hair cut because my grass heads  hair was short and I watched everyone else cut there grass head. They were trimming there grass head and it looked like they were having fun. I might trimm mine in one week.

NIE newspaper

On Monday me and my friend Ashlee we were doing NIE paper so we were learning about cows. Did you know a cow eats about 70kg-150kg grass a day.They are really nice to people and did you know one cow makes 17L milk each day. NIE stands for newspaper education.

Did you know you can't milk bulls because they have no udder.

Making Ice Cream and Grass Heads

Last Friday Rm 8 made Ice Cream and Grass heads it was so so fun. We were in groups so Taylor-rose, Briian, Ashlee and Me. So my group was shaking and it kind of turned into Ice cream. and I was so so so excited and Happy to make Ice cream and Grass Heads. My grass head was so easy to make and I think I was the first one to Finished my Grass Head. My Friends Grass Head looked better then mine. My grass head is the smallest in the class but when I was watching the Grass Heads I sore Someones Grass head kind of down the end. On Friday it sound like a big day like going to Mrs Workmans Farm. My grass head is good but I still need more details and things to put on my Grass head. I need to put on some arms So it looks like a scare crow.

Making butter

Last Friday  Rm 8 made butter in class  for the topic from milk to ice cream. On Friday Chris came and talked about making butter. It was fun and tasty, it was very simple all we needed is to shake it. Its made out of cream we watched the video on youtube and then we made it. When Mrs Paraha put us into groups we shoke it until the butter is all soggy. I felt so happy that we were making butter. When I tasted the butter and bread it was so yum and I felt like another one

Welcome to term 4

I am glad to come back to school and play with my friends and cousins like room 8. I'm going to talk about three things we are doing this term, Water World, Where milk comes from and Athletics.

First I'm going to talk about is where milk comes from. Milk is come from cows so we can drink milk. Milk to ice cream ice cream is my favourite thing my favourite flavour is chocolate chip ice cream and chocolate and shrawberry and all kinds of ice cream.

Wer are going to Water World to learn how to swim.

Athletics will be cool. I like long jump.

Board Games

Yesterday Mrs Paraha showed room 8 six board games there are Manners, Emotions, Feelings, and other games that are pretty cool. These are the people that are in my group. ME, Thomas, Levi and Natalie and that's all those are the people  that are in my group.

AWESOME PRODUCTION

Room 8's performane it is on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday only the tickets will be sold out soon.  I am in room8, there are the class room 8 room 4 room 14. It goes
the jouiors, middles and seniors. I am in the fruit and vegetables. Theses are the people that are in my group.

Maths Week 2012

Today room 8 went on the computers and netbooks to go on maths week 2012. I like going on maths week 2012 it is so so so fun. You get to learn more about x tables and + and - that is why I like maths all the time and + are really easy to do. 2x tables are really easy as well but -  are really hard.
I don't like hard maths. I only like easy maths it helps me get focused all the time. I am in the lowest group that has easy maths to do in room 8.

Wrap free Wenesday

On Wednesday room8 had warp free Wednesday I only had 5 wrappers in my lunch box. Some other people had no wrappers that is really good. Next Wednesday I am going to not have  any wrappers. this week I have in my lunch box I have a packet of  crackers and a muesli bar and Anzac Biscuits and a sandwich and a jelly.

Olympics

I know that the Olympics is going to be held at London and in it is going to be swimming, weights, boxing, biking and javelin.

Why was the Olympics held in London?

Term 3

This term I am looking forward to cross country because I love running. I want to show our Kapa Haka because I really love dancing on the stage.

My goals for this term are to listen to the year 4 leaders and focus on my work.

The Disco

This Term I've liked the disco. When I went to the disco last night I was exciteed because Taylor was at the disco and Aslee was at the disco as well I was walking around with Mrs Paraha after walking with Mrs Paraha I went dancing with my friends. I liked it because I got a necklace that is why I liked the disco.

Maths

I am learning to add  the biggest number first by adding the groups of ten.

 Then you can add the little number - ones.  

 44+ 24=68 that is how you do your basic facts.

Blindfold waliking

Yesterday Room 8 were doing a blindfold walk to see what it would be like.  I felt nervous by walking my buddy up and down the steps walking past the class and  around the poles two times then we swaped over. Then it was my turn to have a go.

My Speech

  When I done my speech I wans't shy but I think I need to use expression and learning my speech and focusing on my speech and looking what the words are saying.

Kindness

I felt happy because my secrect person gave me a card, soap, pink bag with treats.  I feel like screaming and I want to have a pillow fight because I'm so happy.

I have felt happy giving things to my buddy because she looks happy when she gets them

Maths

Baki has 10  apples, I have 3 apples, Mrs Paraha has 11 apples. How many are altogether?

ANZAC biscuits

Last week room 8 made Anzac biscuits because that reminds us of the soldiers and the people who died at war.

My Holiday

In the holidays I  went to Rotorua to see my Aunty and Uncle and my cousin. The next day we went to the Blue Lake at the blue lake I had a swim.  My favourite part was the blue lake because dad let me hop on his back.

Term 1 Reflection

In term one I liked the Tug-of-war. Was my favourite part ever was Waitomo Caves becasue we went on the boat seeing the glow worms. I also liked the disco because I saw my friends.

My goals for term 2 is to listen and to follow instructions.
I want to get better at SPELLING :).

Crystal Flower.

Crystal Flower.

The flower is growing. It's has a little bit of pink and  it is all white.  It's growing pinker and pinker. It's turning into a crystal Flower. The tissues will be covered in sparkly crystals in a few weeks.

On Tuesday the middle syndicate went to Waitomo caves. In the cave it was so dark. I saw glowworm's in the cave. My favourite part was on the boat because we got to see glowworm's and we went for a long long walk.
