Swinsafe YAY !!!!!!!!!!

On Wednesday it was my 2nd lesson because on Tuesday I went to inter schools. At swim safe I learnt how to do my free style with breathing. My instructor was Barbra. I really liked the part when I was doing the rocket. Today my group had to do a star fish on both sides floating without sinking and also without touching the ground. Here is a picture of myself doing the rocket.

How high can I jump?

On Thursday in the afternoon room 8 was doing high jump. Here is a really good example. Now I will tell you how to jump over a pole or elastic so you can follow my step by step.

1. First step is to set up the gear for the high jump 
2. You will need a pole or elastic so that you can jump over it.
3. Second step is grab 2 poles to hold the elastic or pole.
4. Third step is to set up a mattress so you can land on the soft mattress.
5. Fourth step is to get 2 cones to run around the high jump one on the right and one on the left.
6. Now you can start practicing  jumping over the pole or elastic.
7. Choose whatever side you are comfortable with.
8. Now you are going to run around the cone and do a scissor jump over the elastic or pole on your left or right foot and then you are going to land on the mattress with you legs and do a motorbike landing.
9. 8th step is to enjoy jumping over the elastic or pole and have fun.

Trem 3 Reflection Making Taniwha's

This term I have enjoyed making Taniwha's in room 8. Last week room 8 started making Taniwhas.  Mrs Hood gave us step by step instructions how to make a Taniwha.  Room8  did their Taniwhas upside down. First of all you got to put a capital U in the middle. Next step was to draw 2 surf boards one on the left and one on the right.Third step was to put a cloud around the mouth.  Fourth step was to put a nostril in and another surf board for the tongue. Then you turned your page around and there was the Taniwha!

GO ALL BLACKS!!!!!!!

On Wednesday room 8 had to wear black because there was a competition on to show support of the All Blacks. We pretended to be the crowd in the stadium at an All Blacks game. If we win the competition an All Black will come and talk to us at school in room 8 I am in the front  row the won that is holding the talking teddy that does the HAKA. If room 8 wins I will be proud of room 8 witch I am now because....  ROOM 8 WON THE COMPETITION AND ROOM 8 GOT TO SEE AN ALL BLACK. Wow I can't believe that room 8 will win. Also room 8 got to get an ALL BLACK POSTER that has the whole team and they signed it. On Saturday night it is ALL BLACK'S VS ARGENTINA I wonder who will win... But I vote for THE ALL BLACKS CROSS YOUR FINGERS.

Gymsport competiton

The gym sport that I was involved in was the  Hip hop dancing. We practiced and practiced  for 14-15 weeks, every Thursday morning and sometimes in the afternoon. My teachers name was Mrs Head. Our hip hop group's name was The Inspiring Hip Hoppers. The Inspiring Hip Hoppers,The Glory Girls, The Mickey Mouse Clb, and The Vardon Hip Hppers all went to Hamilton gymnastics. The Inspiring Hip Hoppers song was by  Young Bloodz Imma shine-step up.

The Hip Hoppers placing were:

• 1st place was The Fluro Mob.
• 2nd place  was The Inspiring Hip Hoppers ( my group).
• 3rd place was The Funky  Hip Hoppers.

 

For the cheerleaders placing were:

• 1st place was the Green and Yellow team.
• 2nd place was the Glory Girls which is Mrs Hoods cheerleading group.

 

For the aerobics placing were:

• 1st placing was Mrs Gun's group that I forgot what it was called.
• 2nd placing was the Micky Mouse Club.

 

We all had fun at the Hamilton Gymnastics exspecially bouncing on the blue mat it was so so spongy.

I felt really, really, really hot and excited after our team came 2nd place.

GKR Karate

Every Saturdays I go to Karate lessons at Maeroa Intermediate school.  Karate lessons starts at 10:30 and finishes at 12:00. My instructor's name is Priscilla, she teaches us our karate lessons.We learn self defense, fitness, coordination, discipline, confidence and stress relief. GKR stands for GO-KAN-RYU. Anybody can join it doesn't matter what height you are or what  size you are.

Term 2 Refeltion

What I enjoyed this Term was The Trashion show, playing Maths games and playing with my friends. I like maths because the Multiplies have hard questions but I find it is easy. I like Playing with my friends because they are kind to me and friendly. And I like playing games because my friends don't cheat when we play games.
I am proud of my maths because I get harder Questions and because I like maths.

My Goal is to work on my reading because I keep talking to others.

My Goal for next term is to work on not talking on the mat.

Trashion Show

last Thursday it was the trashion show and  Rm 8 and Rm 4 were lollies. Briian wore her garment to the trashion show.  Briian was a fruit burst lolly. Ashlee and I helped make the costume. Briian was waring a sparkly T-shirt and a curtain with fruit burst wrappers on it and an old cake cover with a yellow papper inside and a fan on top. And she wore her old shoes at home. My favourite part was the fluro and working with room8 and room4.

Mrs Paraha's Baby

Last Thursday Mrs Paraha and her baby came to Vardon School to see Room 8 and Mrs Hood. Also other teachers like Mrs Parkinson and Mrs Gun and Miss Workman. Mrs Parkinson got to have a hold of Mrs Paraha's baby. Her name is Eden. She looks very cute and chubby.

Poetry Week

During Poetry week the thing that I enjoyed the most was reading poems. 

My favourtie poem was Peter Piper Bbcause it rhymes and I LOVE TOUNGE TWISTERS.

Museum Trip

 

Room 7 and 8  went to the museum  and saw some amazing garments. The children got to make head pieces out of paper. This photo shows the head pieces under lights.

facts about marmite

FACTS:

- Marmite factory got damaged in the Christchurch earthquake
- Marmite is healthy and has little sugar and fat
- Marmite was first made in England

OPINION:

When I was tasting the marmite it tasted horrible and yucky. I don't  really like marmite or Vegemite.

Mrs Paraha's last day

Last Friday it was Mrs Paraha's last day I was very sad that she was leaving so room8 had a Easter  egg hunt. You had to get a sheet with clues on it. And a spare box on your sheet and a code you had to find the the places were the clues told you to go. And then you had to do the code.  Oisin's group finshed before my group. In my group I had Susanna, Jordan. The code was in Mrs Paraha's white cupboard.  I had lots of fun.

Winning a Green Award

Yesterday Mrs Head was handing out the Green  Award AND IT WAS ROOM 8. I was so so so happy to get the Green award. Green award means that you can't bring wrappers to school you are just killing trees. When you kill trees you will not have any oxygen you  will die.

Camp Week

 

Last Thursday it was camp and for desert the middle team
had ice cream there was chocolate, hocky poky, vanilla
strawberry and some other flavours. I got vanilla because I like vanilla.

Rosie's show

I liked the part when rosie came out and sang a song and Max came out of the bus singing and
Max saw rosie and roise saw Max. Roise saw max playing on the PSP and roise asked if she can have a turn so Max gave roise a  turn and rosie.
grabbed the PSP she didn't know how to play. I learnt that roise was a person acting as a cow.

darm camp

I can't wait  until camp because we are having pudding and we get to stay up late as and wash our dishes and have a free swim play on the playground and have a break from my brothers and sisters and mum and dad ...... and we get to have free time and have fgtugugvgyvijguhbjyhgyug ggvgycvguvgucvygvgyyv fvcygvhghcycuygvgy cvcgcfachyowu batchswimming every day at school and at camp time.
